Broken Minds is Done! But...

After two years of work, Broken Minds is DONE! (Except for the developer commentary, I'm still writing that). This is usually the part where I would start testing it like crazy, gather up a bunch promotional images, and make a cool new trailer.

BUT...

Notice anything about the image above?

When I first started making the game, I wasn't sure if I was even going to release it. I also wasn't going to charge people for it — after all, it would've been very, very short.

So I decided to add a bunch of 90s-accurate posters and things to the game, instead of making up stuff myself. When this means is that there is some copyrighted work in the game that I do not own, or have permission to use.

While some things are fine, like very old Japanese paintings that I got from Wikipedia, things like JoJo's Bizzare Adventure, Shonen Jump magazines, and the very obvious Sailor Moon poster have to be changed to be less copyright infringing.

It's a bit sad, because what I wanted to do was release the game on the day it takes place — November 1st, and I don't know if I can meet that deadline now. But I will try my hardest to.

The problem is that these things not only appear in many backgrounds, but in cutscenes that will have to be re-rendered. Right now I'm working hard to create the fake, parody materials. Wish me luck!!
